Job Description and Required Criteria
The Table Host orchestrates the elegant and efficient delivery of guest care within their section and appropriately directs the Waiter.
The Table Host’s expertise guarantees quality, consistency and correct timings of the guest experience according to the Cycle of Service.
The Table Host demonstrates personality and warmth towards guests and colleagues and is an ambassador of Gaucho standards and culture.
DUTIES – General
Maintaining skills and product knowledge as taught at the Gaucho Academy
Attending and responding to all post-academy company training
Always presenting self in perfect uniform and at correct shift start time
Attending, participating in and contributing to briefings and team meetings
Demonstrating a positive approach to own role and teamwork
Supporting, training and acting as a role model to new members of the team
Completing preparation of duties to set up and close the shift to standard
Following all reasonable direction of the Management team
DUTIES – Service
Introducing and explaining all menus to the guest
Presenting and explaining the Gaucho Beef board and Cheeseboard
Giving menu advice, including specials and unavailable items
Making all food orders< Giving wine advice, serving and topping up wine and introducing the sommelier Serving the starters, mains and desserts to guests, identifying any beef dishes Ensuring perfect table maintenance Checking guest satisfaction and communicating any issues with the manager Accurate, discreet and timely preparation, presentation and processing of the bill Preparing and explaining the wine card to the guest Offering and organising coats and bags as well as arranging a taxi for the guest REPORTING and RESPONSIBILITY The Table Host: Reports to the Supervisor and the General Manager Adheres to all company rules, regulations and procedures Ensures all legal and health and safety requirements are adhered to Communicates any potential problems to the duty manager Performs any task pertinent to the operation as directed by the duty managers and operations manager Knows and pro-actively works toward sales mix and cover targets for the business Focuses completely on achievement of all Cycle of Service requirements Communicates guests’ preferences to the reception team for recording on the Open Table reservation system What We are Offering: - An exciting place to work in Central - Trainings - Basic salary from 14000HKD depending on your experience - A monthly bonus - 2 Days of a week..YES: TWO Days OFF a week!
