Museum of Coastal Defense Photos

Museum_of_Coastal_Defence_photosThe Hong Kong Museum of Coastal Defense is located a short walk from the Shau Kei Wan MTR station on Hong Kong Island.

The Museum was formerly known as the Lei Yue Mun Fort, which was built over 100 years ago as the most formidable fortifications in the territory. It was also an important battlefield during the Battle for Hong Kong in 1941. Today it has been revitalized to preserve and present Hong Kong’s 600-year history of coastal defense.

As our Museum of Coastal Defense photos will show, it is a great family day out. For more ideas, please visit our Kids Activities in Hong Kong page.
